im probably going to attend the sunday of the toronto photographic and digital imaging show tomorrow, which should be pretty cool. there are some seminars on lighting and a wacom pres that id like to check out.

in other news, i took some more weather shots today and just have to finish stitching the series together and then ill throw them up on DA. some of the pics are more personal interest and may not be of ny interest of anyone else. for instance, i took a shot of my backyard cuz im moving in a few weks and id just like to see it one here lol.

im really looking forward to getting a DSLR soon, becuase im already feeling restrained by the capabilities of my powershot S5 IS. its a fantastic camera by all measures, especially when considering price, but i need to be able to change lenses. ive learned so much since i got my powershot, and its already starting to act up so i wonder if the waranty will hold up six months after purchase. ill have to check that out. ill hopefully be getting my hands on a NIkon D40 in a few weeks, but not to keep. im borrowing it and if i like it i may invest. my dream camera remains the canon EOS 5D, but thats just WAAAAY out of my price range lol. im feeling a little overwhelmed by the possibilities of what i can photograph, and want to narrow down the actual number of pictures i take. i want to know that the good ones are not just 1 in 100 but rather 1 in 2 or something ive already dramatically slimmed the nmber of shots i take, so hopefully that will turn out nicely. im really looking forward to the opportunity of some real portrait photography. id like to do some fashion photography. anyways. im just blabbing.

i plan on going out early tomorrow morning cuz it will likely be nice and a good opportunity for some misty-morning esk shots lol.

i also want to start on a photo essay surrounding William Blake's the Auguries of Innocence. took one shot today that just reminded me of it so much id like to try some premeditated-themed shots.
